Chiang Rai Shopping

The local market is great for photos and food. You can witness exactly how temple squares turned into commercial hubs. The old temple to this day features hill tribes persons having wandered into town to pedal their wares and fresh produce around the walls of an old temple.

There are a few antique shops downtown. Chiang Rai was well known for silver work and hadicrafts.

There is a Night Bazaar geared towards the tourist in the city center.
