Sukhothai

Sukhothai translates "Dawn of Happiness" and was founded in the 13th C.(1200s) on the North Western edge of the Khmer empire.

Sukhothai Historical Park Sukhothai Historical Park is located in Tambon Muang Kao, Ampher Muang Sukhothai. The park is owned by UNESCO and operated as a World Heritage Site. Sukhothai was the center for administration, religion, and economy. The Sukhothai city was surrounded walled sqaure with 4 city gates.
